Light snow has fallen most of the day here on Broad Bay. I captured a little video of the snow. Listen carefully around 1:38 and you can here a woodpecker drumming in the background. At the end of the video I move the camera over to the bird feeders where several goldfinch are enjoying some sunflower seed. You’ll also catch a glimpse on Mr Cardinal toward the end of the video. Enjoy!
Here’s another short video I recorded this afternoon as the sun was setting.
Here’s a short video I recorded this afternoon while running errands. I definitely need more practice shooting videos, it’s definitely not the same as shooting photographs. Hopefully I can improve after I get a chance to spend more time with it.
Here’s a short sunset video from earlier this week. Hope everyone enjoys these amateur videos from the lake. Hopefully we will get some much needed snow from the storm forecast for tomorrow in to Friday.
There certainly seems to be more and more Bald Eagles around the lake every year. Yesterday I noticed what appeared to be a young eagle out on the ice near the open water. By the time I got my camera out there were two. As I was taking a few snapshots a third eagle flew in. I watched them for close to an hour expecting them to dive in the open water in front of them for some food. They never did go in the water, they just stood on the ice.
