There is a lot of 2nd & 3rd generation families that are there. It,s still owned by the same family but the motel is no longer there & that building now sells pizza & icecream. Other than that it's still the same as when you used to go there, it's still a nice safe place for families with childern. Years ago I spent my childhood at a lake ossipee campground owned by Urban English. it had a small motel with about 10 rooms, and an area where they would have dances for the teenagers. he had a small store for essentials. Unfortunately for snow lovers, there just wasn't a lot of snow to runoff in to the rivers that feed the lake. Another factor was that we didn't have a lot of frost in the ground this winter. That allowed some of the snow melt to be absorbed directly in to the ground. @ Frank- Yes, it was a very mild winter. We reached a high of 81.3° this afternoon. Now, at 8:30PM, it is 70.5°. These temps are amazing for March 22! The only good part was the significant savings in home heating costs.
